Outrage After Footage Emerges Of Exhausted Horse Being Beaten In Heatwave
This footage shows two men kicking an exhausted horse that collapsed during a heatwave in Spain.
The distressing footage shows the horse that was pulling a carriage during the Feria de Sevilla festival in Spain collapsing on the ground, with the two men then seen kicking it until it gets up again.
The angry people filming can be heard shouting “hijo de puta” (‘son of a b*tch’) at the two men, with the footage ending as a tussle appears to start.
The men can also be heard being called “b*stards”, with one person shouting: “Don’t kick him! He can’t move! You’re stupid!”
The footage was filmed during the Seville April Fair, which was held in the Andalucian capital of Sevilla, and which runs for seven days, two weeks after the Easter Holy Week.
The images have gone viral after being shared on social media, notching up over 320,000 views on one platform alone, with it understood that they were filmed on 24th April.
A number of netizens said the images, which have made headlines in Spain, had made their “blood boil”.
Spain has recorded record temperatures for April as a result of hot air travelling north from Africa, with parts of Andalusia expected to hit temperatures of 39 degrees Celsius today, Friday, 28th April.
