Mile High Turbulence Sing-A-Long Club

This is the moment two pop stars belt out their hit tune to calm down passengers as their flight is hit by turbulence.

The duet was performed by a Spanish singers, Carlos Baute and Marta Sanchez, who have sold over 10 million albums.

The delighted passengers can be seen recording the pair on their phones as they sing their 2008 hit ‘Colgando en tus manos’ (‘Hanging in Your Hands’) on flight on Thursday, 9th March, from Madrid, the Spanish capital, to Porto, in Portugal.

Baute said on social media that the flight was hit by “very strong turbulence” and that then “something very crazy happened!!!”

He added: “After the movement stopped, a flight attendant asked us, ‘Why don’t you sing a song and that way people will have a better time?'”

So they did, with Baute then sharing the footage on TikTok for his over 778,000 followers.

At the time of writing, it had notched up over one million views in under 24 hours.

Netizens were also delighted, with one saying: “I wouldn’t even notice the turbulence like that.”

And another said: “Why don’t these things happen to me when I go by plane?”
