Five Injured After Shooting Incident At Upmarket Marbella Nightclub
The Spanish National Police have launched an investigation after a shooting incident at a popular Marbella nightclub left five people injured including an Irish man and woman.
Two of the injured are in a critical condition after being taken by ambulance to the Costa del Sol hospital.
The alleged gunman is among those being treated and is suffering from multiple stab wounds, after the incident at Opium Beach Club in the early hours of yesterday morning Monday, 18 July
The detained suspect is reported to be a Dutch national, has been arrested and is being treated for stab wounds to his head and torso.
Videos circulating on social media show the moment when someone – not seen in the video – took out a firearm and caused a stampede on the dance floor.

The incident happened at the Opium Beach Club in Marbella, located at kilometre 184 of the A-7 road as it passes through the town. The 112 Andalucía emergency services control room received numerous calls from 1.10am onwards and immediately mobilised the National and Local Police forces.
It is believed that a fight broke out between customers at the upmarket club though the reasons are still being investigated.
