Wandagate Latina Superwag Confesses She Took Blame For Football Star’s Car Crash
Stunning model Wanda Nara has told how she once covered up for a famous footballer after a road crash by jumping in his driver’s seat and taking the blame.
The Latino star – now married to PSG striker Mauro Icardi – made the revelation on Instagram for her 12.6 million followers.
The glamour model, who is also a football agent and represents her hubby’s business affairs, was asked by a fan: “How far have you gone for love?”
Blonde Wanda explained: “An ex. He committed an accident many years ago and I quickly changed seats. I said I was driving. I ended up at the police station all night.”
She added: “However, he was able to appear on time at his club and left the country (he was famous). That’s me!”
Local media reported that the footballer was probably her former husband, soccer star Maxi Lopez.
She was married to Lopez when she is said to have started her relationship with Icardi when they were teammates at the Italian club Sampdoria.
In 2012 – while living in Italy – Wanda reportedly crashed a white Porsche Panamera worth more than USD 100,000.
But local media believes the fake crash happened in 2008 and say Lopez was behind the wheel.
Last year, Nara and Icardi’s relationship appeared to be on the rocks after the footballer was accused by his wife of bedding multiple women during their marriage, including Argentine actress China Suarez, prompting local media to refer to the couple’s woes as ‘Wandagate’.
