Malaga Port´s Growing Luxury Appeal As Another Super Yacht Docks

Another of the world´s super yachts has docked in Malaga this week, as the city grows in popularity amongst the world´s wealthy.

The French super cruise ship Le Jacques Cartier, docked in the port on its first-ever visit to the provincial capital.

The vessel owned by the French luxury cruise line Ponant, offers premium travellers the opportunity to mix “adventure with five-star travel”.

This 430 foot long vessel is unique among cruise ships for its Blue Eye multisensorial lounge, which “offers a unique experience: the opportunity to enjoy undersea views and the sounds of the marine world whilst sharing a glass together,” located below the waterline.

The ship, named after the 16th century French navigator, can accommodate up to 184 guests in 92 staterooms & suites, supported by a crew of 118 crew members.

In addition to the “underwater lounge,” the ship boasts a spa and two restaurants.

This summer has seen a number of high profile super yachts dock in the Andalucian city, including the Al Lusail, owned by the Emir of Qatar, and considered one of the world´s most exclusive ships afloat.
