Another Mysterious Monolith Appears – This Time On Spanish Beach
This metal monolith has been found on a resort beach on the Spanish Mediterranean coast and it is similar to the ones that have been popping up since 2020 and that some people have attributed to aliens.
The strange object was found on the Sa Conca beach in the municipality of Castell-Platja d’Aro on the famous Costa Brava coast in the Spanish autonomous community of Catalonia on Tuesday (30th March).
Costa Brava runs for about 37 miles along the north-eastern Spanish coast to the French border and is a popular tourist destination for British holidaymakers due to its gorgeous beaches and warm climate.
The monolith, which measures a reported two metres (6.5 feet), was found by beachgoers enjoying the warm weather in the area before the reports were later confirmed by the authorities.
Local media said it is unclear who placed the monolith there or why.
A member of the Arocinema association, which shared the photographs online, told Newsflash: “I was running up to Sa Conca beach at around eight in the morning and when I got there I saw it. That’s all I know.”
This is the latest find of monoliths that have been popping up across the globe since the first one appeared at a Utah desert in America in November 2020 which even led some people to believe it could have been aliens.
A community called ‘The Most Famous Artist’ founded by American artist Matty Mo later claimed credit for and unwittingly started a global movement.
The tall structures have been found all over the place including the United Kingdom, Austria, the Netherlands, Colombia, Paraguay, among many other countries.
Locals have likened the monolith to one that appeared in the science fiction film ‘2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) which initially fed into the theory that it was aliens.
It is unclear what Spanish authorities plan to do with their latest monolith.
