Seven people have been arrested for torturing a mentally-disabled man who asked for a makeover by sewing his toes together, shaving his eyebrows and tattooing a penis on his face.
The incident took place in the town of Manacor on the island of Mallorca in the Spanish Balearic Islands after the victim, name not disclosed, said he wanted a makeover on Facebook.
There have been several instances where disabled people have seen their lives turned around after getting a makeover with a haircut, and nice clothes followed by a professional photoshoot.
But that was not what happened in this case where seven people have been arrested for kidnapping and torturing the man with an intellectual disability of 38 percent of an average person, according to local media.
The victim, who is around 30 years old, said on Facebook that he was willing to pay for a makeover to make him look beautiful and the suspects then decided to have some fun when they went looking for him in Palma de Mallorca.
The group took the man to a house in Manacor the procedure that belonged to a relative of one of the suspects.
At the house, the gang allegedly carried out the cruel tortures such as sewing his toes together and tattooing a penis on his face. They also glued his mouth and shaved his eyebrows.
The victim is still recovering from the wounds and burns suffered during the ordeal.
The seven detainees are four men and three women aged between 20 and 31.
According to reports, some of the suspects claimed the man asked for everything they did to him including even more disturbing requests that they did not carry out.
The incident reportedly sparked outrage among residents in Mallorca and the investigation is ongoing.
