Sex Attack Naked Man Captured After Beach Swimming Escape Attempt

A naked Polish man accused of sexually harassing a woman on a Costa del Sol beach has been detained by the Spanish police after swimming out to sea and staying there for more than two hours where he ended up suffering from hypothermia.

The incident took place in the municipality of Velez-Malaga in the southern Spanish region of Andalusia region at around 2pm on 15th November.

The 26-year-old Polish man, name not disclosed, walked up to a woman on El Hornillo Beach while naked and allegedly chased her and grabbed her from behind.

The woman fought off the aggressor and managed to flee to a nearby shop for safety.

When the suspect noticed the police arriving on the scene, he went into the sea and spent two hours clinging to a buoy about 1,500 metres (4,921 feet) from the shore.

When the man had been in the sea for around 40 minutes, the police approached him in a boat and told him to get on board, however, he refused.

However, the police did convince the man to put on a life vest.

A rescue boat then arrived on the scene and officials on both boats grabbed the suspect and forcefully lifted him on board.

According to reports, the Polish man was suffering from exhaustion and hypothermia, and needed first aid.

The man has been detained for sexual harassment as the investigation continues
