Man Sentenced To 30 Years For Girfriend Satanic Murder
A murderer has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for burning his ex-girlfriend alive – injuring their baby son at the same time – because he had “the devil inside him”.
Carlos Pena Flores, 39, has been sentenced to 30 years and eight months in prison for killing his ex-girlfriend Xue Sandra Saura, 32 in the municipality of Alcudia on the Spanish Balearic Island of Majorca.
He was found guilty of murder with malice, starting a fire which put lives in danger and causing injuries in the home environment. He will have to pay 200,000 EUR (174,000 GBP) in compensation.
The shocking incident occurred in June 2016 at the couple’s home. Flores and victim had an argument in which she told him she wanted to break up with him. He then spent the night out drinking and taking drugs, during which time he bought a litre of petrol.
When he arrived home in the early hours he doused his ex-girlfriend in petrol and set her on fire. The fire reportedly took hold of their bedroom and reached their baby. The victim managed to get to her feet and put out the flames burning her with a blanket before carrying the tot out of the room.
She managed to get into her car with the baby and drive to her parents’ house to ask for help. She was taken to the Son Espases Hospital in a critical condition with burns to 80 percent of her body. She was quickly transferred to the Vall d’Hebron hospital in the city of Barcelona where she died on 8th August of her injuries.
Their baby suffered burns to his cheek and a leg which took one month to be treated.
Pena was arrested on the day of the event and he told the court: “I just wanted to leave a mark on her, I didn’t want to kill her. It got out of hand, I am really sorry. I didn’t want to go to that extreme.
“I apologise, our son is going to grow up without a mother, I had the devil inside me.”
He said that he was motivated to kill his ex-girlfriend because she was “cheating” on him. He told the court: “She was cheating on me and her own son with another person. I could not take in that my son would grow up in the hands of someone else. That day I started drinking and taking drugs.”
