Attempted Teen Kidnapping Thwarted In Seville

This is the moment bungling kidnappers trying to abduct an 18-year-old woman on the streets of Spain before they were arrested five minutes later after they drove the wrong way down a one-way street.

According to local media, three tourists from France, Portugal and Algeria tried to kidnap the teenage victim by inviting her over to their car and driving off while she was leaning inside.

The incident took place on 28th August on Alameda de Hercules Street in the city of Seville located in the southern Spanish community of Andalusia and the footage was released by the Spanish police yesterday.

The local authorities have confirmed that the three tourists were arrested “after a short car chase”.

Meanwhile, the 18-year-old victim managed to escape the car 200 metres from the scene where she was allegedly bundled inside.

A National Police spokesperson told Central European News (CEN): “The three suspects drove in the wrong direction on a one-way road as it was the only chance they had of escaping.”

The police confirmed that the three men were arrested five minutes after the incident.

The spokesperson told CEN: “The victim’s friend called the police and described the vehicle and licence plate. After a short car chase, they were arrested on the road.”

According to local media, the three suspects have criminal records in France where they live which include robbery and drug trafficking.

The three suspects are still in police custody as the investigation continues.
