Bull Pops Into The Butchers During Spanish Festival

This is the moment a bull walks into a butcher’s shop during a Spanish festival before taunting spectators pull the poor creature out by its tail.

The bizarre situation took place during the first bull running event of the festival parties of the town of Estella, in the northern Spanish region of Navarra, when a bullock ran into the Javier butcher’s shop on Mayor Street.

The bullock, which was accompanying the bulls participating in the bull running event, ran into the shop and Victor Larramendi, one of the managers of the shop who witnessed the incident, said to local media that the animal had hit one of the workers and damaged the fittings in the shop.

Another worker, who has not been named, had to be attended at the Garcia Orcoyen of Estella Hospital after hitting her arm when she was running away from the bull into the storage area of the shop.

Javier Garcia, one of the workers of the butchery, told Central European News (CEN) that one of the workers, whose name has not been revealed, “was attended at the hospital for an anxiety attack and another one was hit by the bull but thank God we are all fine”.

In the video, onlookers can be seen pulling the bullock by its tail, yanking it out of the shop and into the street.

Manager Larramendi said that they normally watch the bull-running events from inside the shop but they had not had enough time too close the door and animal ended up inside.

He said that Garcia had defended the people inside using a chopping board, adding: “We went through a lot of fear, the animal touched us, one of my workmate’s head was in contact with the head of the animal.”

Garcia told CEN: “I think it was controlled enough and we were very calm in our reaction.”

Local media report the bullock continued on its way through the bull-running event after the incident.
