Sergio Ramos Baptised In Secret Moraleja Ceremony

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos has been baptised in secret ahead of his wedding to his TV presenter fiancee.

The much-derided Spanish international has seemingly decided to try and clean up his act after being baptised ahead of his wedding to Pilar Rubio, mother of his three sons.

The defender is said to have been baptised at the Nuestra Senora de la Moraleja parish in Madrid at 9:30 pm after the church was closed to the public.

Ramos, 33, reportedly went to the church without his fiance and three children, but was instead accompanied by three men.

One of the men, which reports suggest may have been his brother Rene, became Ramos’ godfather while the other two acted as witnesses.

All four are said to have hugged each other after the ceremony which took place in the chapel located in the apse rather than at the main altar, as is normal when being baptised into the Catholic Church.

Ramos will marry Rubio, 41, on 15th June in the cathedral of Sevilla and local media report the upcoming wedding is the reason behind Ramos’ adult baptism.

Guests will reportedly be asked to leave their phones and cameras at the entrance of the cathedral as the couple want to maintain their privacy during the wedding.
