Ajax Hooligan In Madrid Brothel Knife Incident

An alleged member of an Ajax football hooligan gang was arrested in Madrid before his side’s historic Champions League victory for pulling a knife on a brothel bouncer and attacking him.

Local media report the Ajax fan, who has not been named but is reportedly part of the Amsterdam Casuals hooligan group, was arrested in the Tetuan area of the Spanish capital after an altercation with a brothel bouncer.

A police spokesperson told Golder’s News and Sport (Golder’s): “He tried to enter a brothel and pulled out a knife. He attacked the doorman. The doorman was not injured in the incident and he did not need to be attended to by paramedics.”

The doorman reportedly called the police and the aggressor ran away. However, cops managed to arrest him shortly after and reports state the officers found a knife and stickers bearing the name of the Amsterdam Casuals hooligan group in his possession.

The police confirmed to Golder’s that the Ajax fan he has been placed “in judicial custody” and a judge will decide the future of the case. It is unclear if the suspect has been charged.

The police operation for the match saw around 500 officers deployed around the Santiago Bernabeu stadium to prevent crowd trouble.

Ajax produced a shock 4-1 victory to knock three-time defending champions Real Madrid out of the Champions League.
