Taxi Driver Vicious Attack On Passenger In Canary Islands

This is the moment a Canary Islands cabbie attacks a man sitting in a taxi and tries to pull him out before repeatedly throwing punches as his victim’s three-year-old godson cries.

The startling incident occurred in the popular tourist city of Las Palmas, the capital of Gran Canaria island in the Spanish Canary Islands region.

Local media report an argument between the bald-headed taxi driver, who has not been named in reports, and the passenger began when the passenger’s three-year-old godson began kneeling on one of the seats.

The passenger, who has not been identified, says that the driver told him to get out of the vehicle and to take the child with him, eventually saying: “Get the f*cking kid out of here.”

The man, his godson and a woman who was travelling with them then got out of the taxi and walked into another cab waiting nearby.

The driver of the new taxi reportedly said he could not take them out of solidarity with his colleague and that is where the video begins.

The bald driver of the first taxi can be seen trying to pull the passenger out of the other cab.

He grabs the man’s leg but upon realising he cannot pull him out of the vehicle, he begins punching the man instead.

The footage then cuts to the pair arguing in the street, with the cabby trying to attack the passenger whilst being held back and a child, reportedly the passenger’s godson, can be heard crying in the background.

The bald driver appears to spit at the other man and says: “Do you think I’m scared of you?”

The driver throws a wild kick at the man before being led back towards his car.

The passenger has reported both taxi drivers to local and national police, according to reports. No arrests have been reported.
